Enhancing Student Engagement and Retention Through Sketchnoting
October 15, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
What is your situation in this year of a Global Pandemic? Whether digital, analog, remote, face 2 face, in person, or blended – all students will benefit from visual notetaking. Take the power of visual images and empower your students to remember what they are learning. Whether creating an icon library for a specific subject, retelling a story for ELA comprehension, recognition of vocabulary terms through visual cues, sketchnoting is your secret weapon for helping students remember what they are learning.
Join me to explore analog and digital ways to create visual notes that will help you and your students remember what is important. Images multiply retention but when students create that image the learning gains stick.
We will practice together, and I will share resources to get you and your students started on this journey.
Joining by computer or iPad is recommended for full participation.
We will give away one of these great books to a live audience member: The Sketchnote Handook, The Sketchnote Workbook, by Mike Rohde or Visual Note-taking for Educators, by Wendi Pillars.
This event is free but you must register in advance.
